KIBERA KID at Jam Session, San Francisco, California

On Saturday Nov. 17, Hot Sun Films screened KIBERA KID (short film) to 200 young people, ages 12-18, at World Savvy's Jam Session in San Francisco, California, USA.
World Savvy's mission is to educate and engage young people in community and world affairs (worldsavvy.org). As part of their Global Youth Media and Arts Program they have an annual Jam Session with youth to share and create art and media. Will Hammond, our Call and Response partner from BAYCAT, also participated
KIBERA KID was very well received with questions and comments from youth about how the film was made and how they can get connected with Kibera. One young woman noted how KIBERA KID is a story of hope, despite challenging conditions.
Hot Sun Films looks forward to working with World Savvy in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to screen KIBERA KID!
